drowsiness, fatigue, and indigestion.
Rare Dimetapp ND side effects include nausea, anxiety, nervousness
(when taken with caffeine), rapid heartbeat, cough, stuffy nose, and
throat irritation.

Dimetapp ND is used to relieve the symptoms of
seasonal allergies and hay fever such as itchy, runny nose, sneezing, and
watery eyes as well as symptoms of allergic reactions like hives or
swelling. Dimetapp ND blocks the release of
chemical histamine in the body during an allergic reaction, resulting in
drying up secretions of the nose, throat and eyes. Dimetapp ND is considered
less sedative than other antihistamine medicines. Main ingredient in Dimetapp ND is Loratadine.
DIMETAPP ND OVERDOSE
Symptoms of Dimetapp ND overdose may include drowsiness, headache, rapid
heartbeat, dizziness, nausea, nervousness, and dry mouth. In case of Dimetapp ND overdose, seek medical help right away.
If you miss a dose of Dimetapp ND, take it as soon as you can. However, if it is just about time for your next dose, skip the one you forgot and go on with your regular schedule. Never take a double dose of Dimetapp ND.
DIMETAPP ND CAUTION
Avoid Dimetapp ND if you are allergic to Loratadine.
Those with liver or kidney problems should use smaller dosage of
Dimetapp ND.
Use caution when combining Dimetapp ND with an MAO-inhibitor.
DIMETAPP ND INETRACTION
The antihistamine in Dimetapp ND, Loratadine may interact with
ketoconazole, erythromycin as well as theophylline. If you are using any
of these, consult with your physician before using Dimetapp ND.
Cimetidine can increase the level of Loratadine in the blood.
Combining Dimetapp ND with alcohol may increase the effects of
alcohol.
Avoid caffeine (tea, coffee, sodas) and grapefruit juice while taking
Dimetapp ND.
Avoid using herbs while taking Dimetapp ND. Some may increase
drowsiness.
DIMETAPP ND AND PREGNANCY
Though generally considered safe, do not take Dimetapp ND without the
advice of your physician if you are or planning to become pregnant,
especially during the last three months of pregnancy.
Nursing mothers should switch to bottle-feed while taking Dimetapp ND as
it does pass into breast milk.
