Emtet-500: Side Effects, Overdose and Pregnancy Information
Main ingredient in Emtet-500 is Tetracycline Hydrochloride.
Emtet-500 is widely used as an alternative antibiotic for
those who are allergic to penicillin. Emtet-500 is
considered as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, because Emtet-500 is used to treat
a number of bacterial infections such as amebic dysentery, cholera, Lyme
disease, upper respiratory infections, Rocky Mountain spotted fever,
pneumonia, STDs such as gonorrhea, and urinary tract infections.
Emtet-500 s also used to help treat severe acne (low
dosage) and pink eye (conjunctivitis). Emtet-500 work by preventing the growth of the invading
bacteria. This results in the body's own immunity system fighting off the
infection.
EMTET-500 SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects of Emtet-500 may include upset
stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache, rash. Rare side effects of Emtet-500 may include anemia, blurred
vision, dizziness, extreme allergic reactions, increased sensitivity to
light, loss of appetite, nausea, ringing in the ears, swelling due to
fluid retention, liver or kidney problems, skin eruptions, hairy tongue
and thyroid gland problems.
EMTET-500 WARNING
You should not take Emtet-500 if you are sensitive to or
have ever had an allergic reaction to any Tetracycline antibiotics in the
past.
Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. He or she
may recommend a lower dose of Emtet-500.
Avoid prolonged exposure to sun especially if you are prone to
sunburn, while taking Emtet-500.
If you are taking Emtet-500 over an extended period of time,
your doctor will perform blood, kidney, and liver tests periodically.
Emtet-500 should not be given to children under 8 as
this may retard their growth and could cause permanent discoloration of
teeth.

Check with your physician before combining Emtet-500 with the

EMTET-500 AND PREGNANCY
Emtet-500 antibiotics should not be used during pregnancy. It may
influence the growth of the unborn baby's bones and teeth.
Nursing mothers should switch to bottle feed while taking Emtet-500
antibiotics as it may pass into breast milk.
EMTET-500 DOSES
CHILDREN (8 and older)10-20 mg/lbs of body weight.
ADULTS250-500 mg 4 times daily.
EMTET-500 OVERDOSE
Symptoms of Emtet-500 overdose may include diarrhea, vomiting and upset
stomach.
Seek medical attention right away if you suspect Emtet-500 overdose.
