Tavist ND side effects may include headache, dry mouth,
drowsiness, fatigue, and indigestion.
Rare Tavist ND side effects include nausea, anxiety, nervousness
(when taken with caffeine), rapid heartbeat, cough, stuffy nose, and
throat irritation.
TAVIST ND SIDE EFFECTS REPORTING

Tavist ND is used to relieve the symptoms of
seasonal allergies and hay fever such as itchy, runny nose, sneezing, and
watery eyes as well as symptoms of allergic reactions like hives or
swelling. Tavist ND blocks the release of
chemical histamine in the body during an allergic reaction, resulting in
drying up secretions of the nose, throat and eyes. Tavist ND is considered
less sedative than other antihistamine medicines. Main ingredient in Tavist ND is Loratadine.
TAVIST ND OVERDOSE
Symptoms of Tavist ND overdose may include drowsiness, headache, rapid
heartbeat, dizziness, nausea, nervousness, and dry mouth. In case of Tavist ND overdose, seek medical help right away.
If you miss a dose of Tavist ND, take it as soon as you can. However, if it is just about time for your next dose, skip the one you forgot and go on with your regular schedule. Never take a double dose of Tavist ND.
TAVIST ND AND PREGNANCY
Though generally considered safe, do not take Tavist ND without the
advice of your physician if you are or planning to become pregnant,
especially during the last three months of pregnancy.
Nursing mothers should switch to bottle-feed while taking Tavist ND as
it does pass into breast milk.
TAVIST ND CAUTION
Avoid Tavist ND if you are allergic to Loratadine.
Those with liver or kidney problems should use smaller dosage of
Tavist ND.
Use caution when combining Tavist ND with an MAO-inhibitor.
TAVIST ND INETRACTION
The antihistamine in Tavist ND, Loratadine may interact with
ketoconazole, erythromycin as well as theophylline. If you are using any
of these, consult with your physician before using Tavist ND.
Cimetidine can increase the level of Loratadine in the blood.
Combining Tavist ND with alcohol may increase the effects of
alcohol.
Avoid caffeine (tea, coffee, sodas) and grapefruit juice while taking
Tavist ND.
Avoid using herbs while taking Tavist ND. Some may increase
drowsiness.
