Drugs like Ala-Cort do not cure the cause of these problems but they can quickly relieve the symptoms by interfering with the production of various substances in the body that cause these skin disorders. That is why it is imperative that corticosteroids like Ala-Cort should not be used without prior consultation of your physician, as these conditions could be a symptom of a larger problem.
Ala-Cort is for external use only.
CAUTION
Avoid using large amounts of Ala-Cort over large areas of your body as this could lead to needless side effects somewhere else in the body.
Topical corticosteroids like Ala-Cort should not be used as the exclusive treatment for serious skin diseases like herpes, fungus, or skin tuberculosis.
