Becloforte Side Effects, Overdose and Pregnancy Information
Becloforte is a type of orally inhaled corticosteroids given to treat
chronic symptoms of asthma. Main ingredient in Becloforte is Beclomethasone. Becloforte should not be given during an asthma
attack as it is used as a preventive drug. Becloforte works by preventing
and reducing inflammation in the lungs and bronchial membranes. In order
to be effective Becloforte should be used regularly, as directed.
Becloforte Side Effects
Becloforte side effects may include dry mouth, throat
irritation, and headache. Rare Becloforte side effects may include
cough, nausea, eczema, hoarseness, phlegm, and fungal infection of the
mouth and throat.

If you experience any Becloforte side effects not mentioned above you should report it to your primary health care provider or FDA 1-800-FDA-1088 in the United States, Health Canada 1-866-225-0709 in Canada, MHRA 020 3080 6000 in UK, or TGA 1800 020 653 in Australia.
BECLOFORTE WARNING
Becloforte should not be used during an asthma attack.
Avoid Becloforte if you are allergic or sensitive to
corticosteroids.
Pituitary gland suppression may occur when oral corticosteroid is
combined with inhaler corticosteroid.
Inform your physician if you have tuberculosis or osteoporosis.
Becloforte is not recommended for children
age under 6.
BECLOFORTE INTERACTION
Use caution when combining oral corticosteroid with Becloforte.
Interaction with other drugs has not yet been reported.
BECLOFORTE AND PREGNANCY
As with any medicine, inform you physician if you are or planning to
become pregnant as use of large amount of Becloforte during pregnancy
may retard fetal development.
As a precaution nursing mothers should switch to bottle-feed while
taking Becloforte.
BECLOFORTE DOSES
Children 6-12 years:
1-2 inhalations 3-4 times a day.
Adults and Children 12 and older:
2 inhalations 3-4 times a day or 4
inhalation twice daily. People with severe asthma could take up to 16 in a
24-hour period.
BECLOFORTE OVERDOSE
In case of Becloforte overdose, seek medical help right away.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. However, if it is just
about time for your next dose, skip the one you forgot and go on with your
regular schedule. Never take a double dose.
