Brexin LA Side Effects, Overdose and Pregnancy Information
Brexin LA is the combination of antihistamine and decongestant
(Pseudoephedrine) given to treat and relieve symptoms of seasonal
allergies, common cold and flu as well as upper respiratory tract. Main ingredients in Brexin LA are Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Pseudoephedrine. The antihistamine in Brexin LA relieves the symptoms of seasonal
allergies and hay fever such as itchy, runny nose, sneezing, and watery
eyes as well as symptoms of allergic reactions like hives or swelling. The
decongestant (Pseudoephedrine) in Brexin LA deals with constricting the
blood vessels, which in turn reduces the blood, flow to the nasal passages
thereby improving the flow of air and reducing nasal secretions.
Brexin LA Side Effects
Common side effects of Brexin LA may include drowsiness, agitation,
anxiety, headache, fatigue, indigestion, and dry mouth.
Rare side effects of Brexin LA may include nausea, nervousness, cough, stuffy nose,
and throat irritation.

BREXIN CAUTION
Use caution when using Brexin LA if you have high blood pressure,
diabetes, heart disease, prostate problems, or hyperthyroidism as it
contains the decongestant pseudoephedrine.
Avoid Brexin LA if you have severe high blood pressure, glaucoma, or
kidney disease.
Avoid taking Brexin LA within 2 weeks of using an MAO-inhibitor.
Avoid Brexin LA if you are allergic or sensitive to it.
May cause drowsiness or low concentration. Use caution when driving or
operating machinery.
BREXIN LA INTERACTION
Brexin LA should not be used within 2 weeks of using an MAO-inhibitor.
Check with your physician before combining it with the following:
Beta-blockers
Mecamylamine
Methyldopa
Reserpine
Avoid Brexin LA if you use a pacemaker and take digoxin.
Combining Brexin LA with alcohol, tranquilizers, or narcotic analgesics
may cause excessive drowsiness and low
concentration.
BREXIN LA AND PREGNANCY
Though generally considered safe, do not take Brexin LA without the
advice of your physician if you are or planning to become pregnant.
Nursing mothers should switch to bottle-feed while taking Brexin LA as
it does pass into breast milk.

Symptoms of Brexin LA overdose may include drowsiness, dizziness,
nausea, nervousness, and dry mouth.
