Defen LA Side Effects, Overdose and Pregnancy Information

Defen LA is a decongestant and expectorant combination. Main ingredients in Defen LA are Guaifenesin + Pseudoephedrine HCl. The expectorant in Defen LA helps loosen the thick mucus that causes chest congestion. The decongestant in Defen LA is used to give relief from stuffy nose, runny nose, and ear congestion caused by allergies and or the common cold, or infection. Defen LA works by stimulating receptors in the body, mostly in the lining of the nose and sinuses, causing the blood vessel to contract. This results in less fluid to pass through into these linings. Defen LA helps relieve the symptoms of nasal congestion by reducing the production of mucus. This combination does not cure cold or allergy; instead it provides relief from the symptoms.
