Do not use Dexamethasone if you ever had an allergic reaction from using it in the past.

Prolonged use of topical corticosteroids like Dexamethasone near the eyes may cause cataracts or glaucoma.

Children are more at risk of serious side effects from Dexamethasone.

Dexamethasone should not be given to infants under one year of age or for children older than 1 year for more than 3 weeks.
