Doryx is considered as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, because it is used to treat a number of bacterial infections
such as amebic dysentery, cholera, Lyme disease, upper respiratory
infections, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, pneumonia, STDs such as
gonorrhea, and urinary tract infections. Doryx antibiotic is also used to
help treat severe acne (low dosage) and pink eye (conjunctivitis). Doryx works by preventing the growth of the invading bacteria. This enables body's own immunity system fighting off the infection.
