Vesanoid Side Effects, Overdose and Pregnancy Information
Vesanoid side effects are burning, tingling, itching, blistering, or
discoloration of the skin or hypersensitivity to the sun.
Vesanoid side effects go away after the use of Vesanoid is discontinued. Some
rare Vesanoid side effects like hearing loss or paralysis of the face have also
been reported.

Vesanoid is primarily used to treat acne. Vesanoid is also given to
reduce, skin damage caused by chronic sun exposure as well as skin cancer
and acute promyelocytic leukemia.
Studies have shown that regular use of Vesanoid may even reverse the
wrinkling process in some individuals. Vesanoid is for external use only. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek
medical help right away. Main ingredient in Vesanoid is Tretinoin.
VESANOID CAUTION
Avoid using Vesanoid if you are sensitive or allergic to any of its
components.
Avoid sun exposure and sunlamps to the treated areas. Otherwise, use
sunscreen and shades.
Avoid using Vesanoid near your eyes, or the nose.
Vesanoid may cause the cholesterol level and white blood cell count to
increase in some people.
Avoid using Vesanoid if you have eczema or any other skin conditions,
this could cause severe irritation.
Vesanoid is flammable; keep it away from high temperature and flame.
VESANOID INTERACTION
Check with your physician before combining Vesanoid with the following:
Skin care products like Benzoyl peroxide or Salicylic acid
Dyes
Products containing alcohol
Skin drying
products
Preparations containing sulfur
Resorcinol
Avoid using Vesanoid if you are using any other drug that increases
sensitivity to sun including:
Antibiotics like Cipro, Noroxin, and tetracycline
Major
tranquilizers
Sulfa drugs
Thiazide drugs
VESANOID AND PREGNANCY
Avoid using Vesanoid if you are or planning to become pregnant as this
may cause birth defects.
Nursing mothers should switch to bottle-feed while using Vesanoid.
VESANOID DOSES
CHILDREN
Not recommended for children.
ADULTS
Apply a thin layer once daily in the evening. Avoid using
excessive amount.
Wash you face thoroughly and then wait half hour before applying
Vesanoid.
VESANOID OVERDOSE
Applying too much Vesanoid will result in skin irritation and is not
going to produce faster or superior results.
Vesanoid is for external use only. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek
medical help right away.
